Aloe Vera: The Miracle Plant

This plant is one of the oldest know medicinal plants, used by both the Egyptians and the early Greek doctors long before modern medicine. The ancient Egyptians used it for beauty care and health.

The Aloe Vera Plant is a Cactus-like plant, growing in the warmer climates of the world, it is also a member of the lily and onion family of plants.

There are different species of the plant but the one with the health benefit is the Barbadensis miller. It is widely accepted that the plant has healing powers, but scientists have not been able to explain or duplicate the plant’s effectiveness until the 1968, when an American Pharmacist discovered a method to extract and naturally stablise the “gel” from the leaves while still preserving its natural healing potency.

Most beauty products now have listed as it’s ingredient Aloe Vera, this is because consumers are aware of the benefits of Aloe, and manufactures wants to take advantage of that.

Clean 9: a better way.

In July I went on the Forever Living 9 days cleaning program, designed to kick start my weight loss journey. Following the program helps deal with chemical burden and aids weight loss by supporting the body’s clean pathways.  

I  reduced from 66kg to 58kg and dropped 2 dress sizes in the process. I have kept the weight off, and thanks to clean 9 I have changed my relationship with food. 

There are many reasons why weight loss happens during the  9 day Cleanse. When you transform your diet, you remove the foods that are mucous forming and water retaining. You also reduce cravings so there is less emotional eating.

 

But here’s the most important reason: 90% of the harmful chemicals we consume are lipophilic, which means they dissolve only in fat. When you consume them and they enter your blood stream, your body retains and even generates fat to surround the toxic molecule.

New Year, New You.

It's the end of the year, and so many things are on offer. Office lunches, Christmas parties, dinner with friends and family and mince pies. 

O mince pies, I love them so much I started buying them as soon as they became available in the shops. 

As I munch away, I kept thinking this isn't good on my hips, but who cares? It's Christmas.

 I like to think I live a relatively healthy life, fruits and vegetables at every opportunity as well as excise whenever I can... 

So what am I going to do now I have been on so many lunches, family gatherings, with very little excise, all in the name of Christmas. 

I am going on a cleanse, our very own detox program.

 

Allowing our body to clean naturally will reset our system enabling us to be reinvigorated, energised, feel and look better.  

Cleansing is a very basic, automatic function for eliminating and neutralising harmful chemicals through the colon, kidneys, lungs, liver, skin and lymph.

This becomes harder and harder for your body to accomplish due to air pollution, the foods we eat and treated tap water.  

Diets in western cultures, are loaded with saturated and trans fats, animal protein, caffeine, alcohol and nicotine.  These diets radically alter our internal ecosystems.

Unfortunately, our body system and organs are now being overwhelmed by these harmful materials left behind.  Where once the body was able to cleanse itself from these unwanted chemicals completely, many of these materials are being left behind inside our tissues.

Many of us depend on stimulants like coffee and sugar and depressants like alcohol to help balance our changing moods. By removing these items, from our daily diet, we will reset the body’s natural equilibrium and stabilize your mood.

Tired all the time?

If like me you lead a very busy life, you will agree that tiredness can be a hindrance in completing our daily task.

I have two young kids, a part time job, a business, and keep several blogs, so it is fair to say that I was always tired. That was before I found the forever Living Products

In excess of 13 million people in the United States alone are distributors for network marketing companies; one in ten households have a direct seller.

Throughout the world, there are approximately 50 million network marketing distributors.

Over two-thirds of all network marketers have high school degrees or some college education, and 25 percent  have college degree or beyond.
